Pen needles and disposal

Pens use standard threaded pen needles, and the disposal question that follows is one most product pages skip entirely. Both parts are worth stating: what fits, and what happens to it afterwards.
What fits
Body Pharm pens accept standard threaded pen needles, the same fitting used across the pen-injector category. Eight are supplied with each pen. Needles vary by gauge (thickness) and length; a thinner, shorter needle is generally the more comfortable option for subcutaneous use, and both figures are printed on the needle packaging.
Why a fresh needle each time
A pen needle is designed for single use. Re-using one dulls the tip, which increases tissue trauma, and it leaves a used needle attached to the pen between uses — which defeats the closed-system property that makes the format sterile in the first place.
Leaving a needle attached also allows solution to leak or air to enter the cartridge, both of which affect the accuracy of the next dose.
Disposal across EU markets
Used needles are clinical sharps waste and must not go into household refuse or recycling. The rules differ by country and often by municipality: some pharmacies accept sharps containers for return, some municipalities run collection points, and some require a specific container purchased locally.
Because the requirement is local rather than EU-wide, the reliable route is to ask a pharmacy in your own market what they accept before you need to dispose of anything.
