The combined CJC-1295 & IPAMORELIN pen with NAD+ 1000: the growth-hormone-axis pen and the cellular-energy coenzyme in one order, each batch tested.

Check eligibilityPrime Performance pairs our CJC-1295 & IPAMORELIN pen with our NAD+ 1000 pen. The two are grouped because if you are reading about the growth-hormone axis for muscle and recovery goals, you are often looking at cellular energy metabolism too. No published trial has tested these two pens together; each is taken here on its own evidence.
The first pen holds two compounds in one solution. CJC-1295 is a GHRH analogue that raises the amplitude of a pulse; ipamorelin is a secretagogue at the ghrelin receptor that triggers one. Because the two inputs are independent, the published convention is to pair one of each, which is why they arrive together and why the pen is listed under peptides for muscle. The receptor split is set out at what is CJC-1295 & Ipamorelin? and CJC-1295 vs Ipamorelin.
Teichman SL et al. Prolonged stimulation of GH and IGF-I secretion by CJC-1295. J Clin Endocrinol Metab 2006. PMID 16352683 ran two randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled ascending-dose trials of 28 and 49 days in healthy adults aged 21 to 61. After a single subcutaneous injection, mean plasma growth hormone rose two- to ten-fold for six days or more, and mean IGF-I rose 1.5- to three-fold for nine to eleven days, with an estimated half-life of 5.8 to 8.1 days.
A second paper answered the obvious objection to a long-acting GHRH analogue. Ionescu M, Frohman LA. Pulsatile secretion of GH persists during continuous stimulation by CJC-1295. J Clin Endocrinol Metab 2006. PMID 17018654 reported that the natural pulsatile pattern of growth hormone secretion survives continuous stimulation.
What those trials did not measure is muscle. Lean mass, strength and body composition were not endpoints, and no published trial of CJC-1295 has reported them in healthy adults. The step from “IGF-I rose” to “muscle grew” is a mechanistic story, not a finding.
Ipamorelin’s characterisation is preclinical. Raun K et al. Ipamorelin, the first selective growth hormone secretagogue. Eur J Endocrinol 1998. PMID 9849822 described a pentapeptide that released growth hormone with less effect on other pituitary hormones than the earlier GHRP compounds. That selectivity is why it is the secretagogue in this pen.
The one placebo-controlled human trial we can point to was not about growth hormone. Beck DE et al. Prospective, randomized, controlled, proof-of-concept study of the ghrelin mimetic ipamorelin for the management of postoperative ileus in bowel resection patients. Int J Colorectal Dis 2014. PMID 25331030 gave intravenous ipamorelin or placebo twice daily to adults recovering from bowel resection, for up to seven days. In the 114-patient safety population the regimen was reported as well tolerated, and it did not significantly shorten the time to a first tolerated meal. That is a hospital setting, an intravenous route and a gut-motility endpoint. No published human dose-ranging trial of subcutaneous ipamorelin exists.
The second pen is not a peptide. NAD+ is a coenzyme that takes part directly in redox reactions rather than binding a receptor, so the receptor logic above does not apply to it (what is NAD+?). Its human trial literature mostly concerns the oral precursors nicotinamide riboside and nicotinamide mononucleotide, not injected NAD+, and it says two different things.
Supplementation raises the biomarker. A long-term randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of nicotinamide riboside chloride in healthy overweight adults addressed safety and metabolism (Conze D et al. Safety and Metabolism of Long-term Administration of NIAGEN (Nicotinamide Riboside Chloride) in a Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-controlled Clinical Trial of Healthy Overweight Adults. Sci Rep 2019. PMID 31278280), and repeated dosing of a precursor combination raised blood NAD+ in humans (Dellinger RW et al. Repeat dose NRPT (nicotinamide riboside and pterostilbene) increases NAD+ levels in humans safely and sustainably: a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study. NPJ Aging Mech Dis 2017. PMID 29184669).
Whether a higher NAD+ level produces a clinical result is less settled. A meta-analysis of randomised trials of NMN at 250 to 2000 mg per day found no significant effect on fasting glucose, fasting insulin, glycated haemoglobin or lipid profile (Chen F et al. Effects of nicotinamide mononucleotide on glucose and lipid metabolism in adults. Curr Diab Rep 2024. PMID 39531138). The biomarker moves reliably; the downstream outcomes are inconsistent. None of that work used the injectable coenzyme in this pen.
No trial has given CJC-1295 and ipamorelin alongside NAD+ and measured anything, so combination-specific effects, good or bad, are unrecorded. Neither pen is altered for the set: each is the product listed on its own page, nothing is mixed, and how you might combine them is not something we advise on. There is no long-term human safety dataset for CJC-1295 or ipamorelin. None of the three compounds holds a marketing authorisation as a medicine for this use, and without authorisation there is no post-marketing surveillance collecting adverse-event reports. Both peptides are prohibited at all times under WADA, which closes this set to anyone competing under anti-doping rules. The published adverse-event record for the peptide pen is at CJC-1295 and ipamorelin side effects.
Our own claim is narrower than any of that: it concerns what is in the pen. An independent laboratory tests each batch for identity, purity and sterility, and scanning the QR code on the pen takes you to the certificate for your lot, which is also listed at /coa.
Prime Performance is the set you choose when muscle and recovery are the goals you are reading about and you want the growth-hormone-axis pen paired with a coenzyme rather than a second peptide. The natural comparison is Improved Sleep, which keeps the same CJC-1295 & IPAMORELIN pen but swaps NAD+ for MOTS-c, a mitochondrially encoded peptide with an entirely preclinical evidence base. If you want the coenzyme without the growth-hormone axis, Vitality Stack pairs NAD+ with GHK-Cu instead. The choice is about which product pages you found relevant, not which set has been shown to do more, because none has been tested as a set.
