What third-party testing means

The phrase appears on nearly every peptide product sold. It carries weight only when there is a document behind it that shows what was tested, how, and for which batch, and a surprising number of certificates do not.
Third-party means an independent laboratory
A third-party test is run by a laboratory that is not the manufacturer and does not have a commercial interest in the result. In-house testing is not worthless (a manufacturer that tests its own output is doing more than one that does not), but it is a different claim, and the two should not be presented as if they were the same.
The check is whether the result comes from a laboratory independent of the seller and is published for each batch. Every batch we sell is tested by an independent laboratory (see how we test), and the certificate is published on our COA index.
Scope is the part usually omitted
A laboratory may have tested identity only, or identity and purity, or identity, purity and sterility. "Third-party tested" without a scope statement can describe any of those. For an injectable presentation, sterility is the scope that matters most and the one most often absent.
A certificate that lists each test, its method, its specification and its result makes the scope self-evident. One that asserts a summary does not.
Date and lot make it verifiable
A test result without a date and a lot number cannot be tied to anything. Both are what turn a document into evidence about a specific object, and matching them is covered under batch and lot matching.
Our certificates are issued per batch. Each one carries the batch number, the purity figure by HPLC and the measured concentration of the cartridge, and every batch is tested for identity, purity and sterility. They are published as plain PDFs on our COA index.

How do I know a certificate is genuine?
Check that it states methods and results rather than conclusions, and that it carries a batch number matching the pen you hold. Ours are reached only from the QR code on the pen or from our COA index; a document carrying our name from anywhere else is not one of ours.
